Job Summary
Senior Bridge Engineer/Project Manager responsible for leading bridge-related projects from planning through construction, providing technical leadership, and mentoring staff. Responsibilities include leading design and analysis of bridge and structural transportation projects; managing project scope, schedule, and budgets; preparing and reviewing bridge plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates; coordinating with clients, agencies, and stakeholders (including DOTs and local jurisdictions); overseeing load ratings, inspections, and rehabilitation or replacement strategies; supporting construction administration and field reviews; and leading business development including proposals and client engagement. Project types include transportation clients (DOTs, Federal Highways, Forest Service, DoD, Counties, Cities, Railroads) and bridge-related work (steel, concrete, timber; rehabilitation/replacement; culverts/hydraulic structures; load rating/inspection; roadways/retaining walls; railroad bridges). Desired characteristics include strong leadership, client relationship management, and ability to multi-task and deliver high-quality work on schedule. Relocation assistance is available and prior Montana experience is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Civil Engineering from an accredited university (Structural emphasis preferred)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- 10+ years of experience in bridge and structural transportation engineering
- Experience with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications
