Job Summary
Senior Bridge Engineer – lead complex DOT bridge and transportation projects; develop structural calculations and drawings for Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build; perform data-driven analysis of design alternatives; prepare technical reports; support construction phase including RFIs and shop drawings; mentor junior engineers; requires a B.S. in Civil/Structural Engineering, PE/SE licensure, and 10+ years of bridge design experience; proficiency with Microstation, AutoCAD, and various bridge-design software; familiarity with AASHTO LRFD; Florida PE/SE preferred; includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package; valid driver’s license required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors of Science from an ABET-accredited university in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Registration as a licensed Professional Engineer and/or Structural Engineer
- 10+ years post registration structural engineering experience
- 15+ years of relevant bridge design and plans production experience
- Experience with bridge design software (FB Multi-Pier, Leap Bridge Concrete, Smartbridge, LARSA, CSI, STAAD, MDX, Shoring Suite, Atlas, FDOT MathCAD worksheets)
- Proficiency in Microstation, GEOPAK, OpenBridge Modeler, AutoCAD or CADD platforms
- Knowledge of AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and time management skills
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history
