Job Summary
Senior Bridge Engineer responsible for leading complex DOT bridge and transportation projects, developing structural calculations and drawings for Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build, performing investigations, preparing technical reports, supporting construction phase, training junior engineers, and leveraging proficiency in Microstation/OpenBridge/AutoCAD and multiple bridge-design software; requires PE/SE licensure, 10+ years post-registration, 15+ years bridge design/production, ABET-accredited BS in Civil/Structural, and Florida licensure preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors of Science from an ABET-accredited university in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Registration as a licensed Professional Engineer and/or Structural Engineer
- 10+ years post registration structural engineering experience
- 15+ years of relevant bridge design and plans production experience
- Experience with bridge design software (FB Multi-Pier, Leap Bridge Concrete, Smartbridge, LARSA, CSI, STAAD, MDX, Shoring Suite, Atlas, FDOT MathCAD)
- Proficiency in Microstation, GEOPAK, OpenBridge Modeler, AutoCAD and/or CADD
- 3D modeling in OpenBridge Modeler is a plus
- Familiarity with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Valid driver’s license
