Job Summary
Senior Bridge Engineer to lead DOT bridge and transportation structures projects. Develop structural calculations and drawings for Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build, analyze data and alternative solutions, prepare technical reports, support construction (RFI responses, shop drawings, problem solving), and mentor junior engineers. Requires BS in Civil/Structural Engineering, PE/SE license, 10+ years post-registration experience in structural engineering, and extensive bridge design/plans production experience; proficiency with major design software (FB Multi-Pier, Leap Bridge, MicroStation, OpenBridge Modeler, AutoCAD) and knowledge of AASHTO LRFD; strong teamwork and communication skills; valid driver's license. Preferred: MSCE/MSCE, Florida PE/SE eligibility, and related FDOT familiarity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's of Science from an ABET-accredited university in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Registration as a licensed Professional Engineer and/or Structural Engineer
- 10+ years post registration structural engineering experience
- 15+ years of bridge design and plans production experience
- Experience with bridge design software (FB Multi-Pier, Leap Bridge Concrete, Smartbridge, LARSA, CSI, STAAD, MDX, Shoring Suite, Atlas, FDOT MathCAD)
- Proficiency with Microstation, GEOPAK, OpenBridge Modeler, AutoCAD and/or CADD
- AASHTO LRFD knowledge
- Strong communication and mentorship abilities
- Valid driver's license
