Senior Bridge Design Engineer

Job Summary
Lead the structural design of new bridges, culverts and retaining walls; manage the preparation of engineering drawings and documentation for bridge, culverts and retaining walls; prepare engineering computations, tender packages, cost estimates and quantity take-offs; provide leadership to junior and intermediate engineers as well as other team members; collaborate with municipalities and MTO/approval authorities; hybrid work schedule with benefits from day one; requires 10+ years' bridge design experience, P.Eng in Ontario, CSA-S6 and MTO RAQS eligibility, proficiency in AutoCAD, structural analysis software, Excel and MS Project.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the design of bridges and other transportation structures
- Registered as a P.Eng. in Ontario
- Strong knowledge of the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code (CSA-S6) and MTO Structural manual
- Eligible for MTO RAQS registration
- Proficient in structural analysis software, AutoCAD, Excel and MS Project
- Strong problem solving and decision making skills
- Previous experience leading design teams
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills
