Job Summary
Define prepared foods brand strategy, positioning, and guardrails for new categories, partnering with Category Development and the Center of Excellence to shape where the business plays. Lead the full pipeline from concept to launch, making go/no-go recommendations on opportunities and defending the business case directly to the Head of Marketing. Own the selling story, packaging creative process, and stage-gate execution with R&D, Culinary, Operations, and Commerce Marketing to drive sales teams into the room. Manage agency partners for research, design, and creative while ensuring brand consistency across the portfolio. This role builds a house of brands from scratch, transitioning from pipeline management to portfolio stewardship as businesses mature.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
- 6+ years of progressive brand management or marketing experience in consumer packaged goods
- Experience owning a brand or a business
- Track record taking products from concept all the way through in-market execution
- Brand building beyond line extension and renovation
- Experience entering a new category or launching a new brand
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and agencies without direct authority
- Working fluency across consumer research, packaging development, commercial execution, and business case and P&L principles
- Ability to turn a consumer insight into a differentiated concept
- Communication that holds up in front of executives
- Willingness and ability to travel as business needs dictate
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Formal brand management training at a blue-chip CPG organization (P&G, General Mills, Conagra, or equivalent)
- Food, protein, frozen, or prepared foods experience
- Experience standing up an innovation process
