Job Summary
Senior Bookkeeping Analyst responsible for owning the full month-end close for a portfolio of clients within the CAS practice, performing reconciliations, preparing working papers, and delivering accurate, timely financial deliverables. You will analyze variances, identify trends and risks, provide insightful commentary to support client discussions, support regulatory filings (e.g., HST/GST, payroll withholdings, WSIB), and help drive process improvements through automation. You will serve as the main day-to-day bookkeeping contact for clients, collaborate with senior advisors, mentor junior staff, and contribute to a scalable, quality-focused CAS function in a hybrid or in-office setting at multiple Ontario locations.
Required Qualifications
- Senior-level, full-cycle bookkeeping experience
- Exposure to multiple clients or entities
- CPB (Certified Professional Bookkeeper) designation, PCP, or progress toward a professional designation is an asset
- Experience with cloud-based accounting platforms such as QuickBooks Online, Xero
- Strong Excel skills and ability to prepare reports, reconciliations, and schedules
- Comfortable adopting new tools, workflows, and automation
- Ability to communicate trends, anomalies, and risks clearly to clients
- Client-facing skills and professional communication
- Ability to mentor junior staff or bookkeepers and standardize processes
