Job Summary
Senior Boiler Service Technician responsible for maintenance and repairs on commercial and industrial boiler systems across the NYC/Long Island area. Duties include routine maintenance and troubleshooting of low/high pressure, steam, and hot water heating systems; replacing valves, filters, gauges, and other components; monitoring safety and performance; communicating safety concerns to supervisors and maintenance teams; complying with OSHA regulations; on-call standby; reading wiring schematics; and performing related duties. Requires OSHA 30, F-60, and G-60 certifications, tools of the trade, ability to work in confined spaces, physical stamina (lifting up to 75 pounds), and willingness to pass drug screening and background check. Welding is a plus, and some welding ability is beneficial. On-site role based in Mount Vernon, NY with field work in the NYC/Long Island region.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in boiler maintenance, combustion, instrumentation calibration, and basic boiler circuitry, with the ability to read wiring schematics
- Technical or vocational training in HVAC, industrial boilers, or associated fields
- Extensive knowledge of industrial boiler operation and maintenance
- Strong analytical and mechanical problem-solving skills
- Valid OSHA 30, F-60, and G-60 certifications are required
- Ability to work standby/on-call schedules as needed
- Own hand tools are required; the company will provide specialty tools as needed
- Physically capable of inspecting and repairing boilers, including working in confined spaces and lifting up to 75 pounds
- Ability to perform some welding is a plus
- Willingness to pass a drug screening and background check prior to employment
