Job Summary
The Senior Blockchain Software Engineer will architect, develop, and maintain high-throughput backend systems for a regulated US-based digital asset trading platform. Key responsibilities include designing and building backend services and APIs in Java, driving architecture discussions for system scalability and resilience, and prioritizing security and compliance in service design. Successful candidates will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, strong Java proficiency, experience in performance optimization, and a passion for blockchain technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Strong proficiency in Java and experience with modern frameworks and distributed systems
- Ideally ~8 years of professional software engineering experience
- Experience with performance optimization (e.g., low-latency systems, microservices)
- Knowledge of security and compliance best practices in financial or regulated contexts
- Deep interest and/or hands-on experience in blockchain, crypto infrastructure, or decentralized technologies (e.g., EVM-based networks, consensus protocols)
- Strong collaboration and mentorship skills in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment
- Previous background in the FinTech, Crypto, or Web3 sectors
- Upper-intermediate English proficiency is required, along with native proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese
Desired Qualifications
- Exposure to test automation frameworks and tools (Selenium, Cypress, Postman, or Maestro)
- Experience with API testing and integrating QA processes into CI/CD pipelines
