Job Summary
Model electrical installations in REVIT 3d, preparing schedules, estimates, and progress reports while adhering to client and international standards. Develop detailed drafting and modelling for LV and MV systems, including load lists, single line diagrams, network diagrams, schematic diagrams, hazardous area classification, motor protection schemes, cable routing, smoke detection, lighting calculations, earthing risk assessments, and construction standard specifications. Create and customize MEP REVIT content, utilize vendor data, perform squad checks on multi-disciplinary drawings, develop bills of quantities, and manage quality control through project handover and closeout documentation. Requires 5-10 years of relevant experience as a BIM Modeller.
Required Qualifications
- 5-10 Years relevant experience as a BIM Modeller in the built environment
- A proficient user in Autodesk Revit and/or similar, who can draw/model with limited supervision having the ability to create content within a specific discipline
- Must also be an intermediate user in other core discipline specific software
- Modelling of Electrical Installations in REVIT 3d
- Electrical engineering and design during all project phases according to client, national and international standards
- Detailed Electrical Drafting / Modelling of LV and MV including the development and checking of: Load Lists, Single Line Diagrams, Network Diagrams, Electrical Schematic Diagrams, Hazardous Area Classification, Motor start-up and Protection Schemes (MV and LV), Cable Routing Design, Smoke Detection, Earthing Risk Assessments, earthing system design, Earthing layouts, Specification of Construction Standards of installation
- Developing MEP REVIT Content including new Family and customisation of existing Family content
- Utilise vendor data and work with other disciplines as required for engineering and design
- Participate and Perform squad checks of vendor data and drawings from other disciplines
- Develop bills of quantities from Revit
- Manage progress & quality control activities
- Project handover and closeout documentation
- all newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment
