Job Summary
Manage and deliver BIM models for structural engineering projects at the Business Unit Level, ensuring compliance with Arcadis and national standards. Coordinate technical aspects of BIM production, including model creation, custom family development, and workflow sequencing. Provide technical advice to team members, coach employees on BIM implementation, and quality assure deliverables to meet client expectations. Collaborate with design disciplines to ensure overall design integrity and integration. Keep up to date with industry developments and technical legislative changes to maintain a strong professional profile. Share knowledge through team working and support the Mobility GBA's Operate & Maintain digital methods.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering
- Solid experience in designing concrete and steel structures, including reinforcement detailing and bills of quantities
- Strong experience in BIM environments, including model coordination, creation of custom families/templates, and understanding of workflows and construction sequencing
- Proficient in BIM and structural software/tools used for modeling, detailing, and production
- Proven experience in delivering structural projects (e.g. buildings, bridges, retaining walls, or similar elements), from design to execution
- Analytical mindset, proactive attitude, and interest in continuous learning, innovation, and automation
- Ability to guide/check team members' work, manage time effectively, and communicate clearly in technical English
- Experience in setting up BIM protocols/execution plans
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of parametric design or scripting (e.g. Dynamo, Python, Grasshopper)
- Experience with point cloud / laser scanning or GIS integration
- Familiarity with ISO 19650 and BIM best practices
