Job Summary
Resolve complex or past-due third-party billing claims for Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care to secure reimbursement. Provide oversight for initial billing of skilled nursing facility claims and coordinate claim audits with Health Information Management Specialists to address denials and appeals. Serve as the "myUnity" SuperUser for specific payer expertise, supporting Billing Specialists and identifying process enhancements. Investigate invoices under Medicare SNF Consolidated Billing rules, complete monthly allowance schedules, and process refund requests and accounts receivable adjustments. Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of billing regulations and act as a resource for residents and community staff regarding insurance benefits. Requires 3+ years of Medicare and Managed Care billing experience with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- 3+ years of Medicare and Managed Care billing experience
- Applicable SNF/Anywhere Care Medicare and Managed Care experience
- Medicare/Insurance Appeals experience preferred
- Must possess specific payer expertise (e.g. Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, Anywhere Care)
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
- Excellent communication skills
- Lifting up to 30 pounds
- Pushing/pulling 100 lbs. on wheels
