Job Summary
Design and implement scalable Big Data architectures using distributed systems such as Spark and Hadoop. Responsibilities include developing and optimizing data pipelines, leading technical design reviews, and collaborating with Business Analysts to translate needs into data solutions. Required skills include experience with the Big Data and Hadoop Ecosystem, advanced Python knowledge, and proficiency in SQL and Databases. Candidates should possess strong problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities for stakeholder interaction.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years proven experience with Big Data and Hadoop Ecosystem
- Advanced knowledge of Python; At least 5 years proven experience
- Good knowledge of working with Databases (e.g. SQL, Oracle, Hive, Impala)
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or IT-related discipline (or equivalent work experience/diploma/certification)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Cloud implementations (GCP)
- Good knowledge of Unix/Linux environments
- Experience using Control-M Workload Automation tool
- Familiarity with DevOps practices like CI/CD
- Familiar with version control systems: GIT
- Hands-on knowledge of Shell Scripting
- Familiarity with Atlassian Stack: JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket
- Exposure to reporting tools (Tableau, Looker, SAP BOBJ)
- Good experience in the financial industry
- Aptitude for data mining and analytical approach to tasks
