Job Summary
Lead end-to-end management of strategically significant, high-value bid opportunities from qualification through submission. Own the bid management approach, governance model, and review strategy while chairing kick-offs, strategy workshops, and progress meetings. Facilitate win theme development, challenge stakeholders on solution positioning, and ensure responses align with evaluation criteria and customer outcomes. Manage multi-stage review cycles, including executive-level reviews, and oversee quality assurance to maintain compliance with procurement requirements and NEC governance processes. Provide leadership across virtual bid teams operating across multiple business units and geographies, offering mentoring to Bid Managers and Bid Writers. Drive a culture of accountability, quality, and continuous improvement while influencing senior stakeholders and executive leadership teams.
Required Qualifications
- Significant experience managing complex public sector and regulated industry bids
- Experience managing multiple concurrent opportunities and competing priorities
- Proven track record of leading successful strategic and high-value opportunities
- Strong understanding of public procurement regulations and competitive tendering processes
- Advanced bid planning, facilitation and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to influence senior executives and operational leaders
- Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills
- Strong commercial awareness and risk management capability
- Pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK
- Must be able to demonstrate a pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK
- Documentary evidence of right to work and UK travel availability
- Satisfactory vetting and reference checks
- Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check
Desired Qualifications
- APMP Practitioner or Professional certification
- Experience within software, technology, managed services or public sector outsourcing environments
- Experience implementing bid management transformation initiatives
- Knowledge of AI-assisted bid development tools and content management systems
