Job Summary
Design and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards for financial performance, KPIs, and operational metrics using advanced DAX. Architect and optimize complex Excel-based financial models with Power Query and Power Pivot to ensure data integrity and rapid refresh capabilities. Query and validate data from relational databases using T-SQL when required to support seamless BI integration. Visualize large financial datasets to identify trends and variances, providing strategic recommendations to stakeholders. Serve as a strategic partner to the Head of Finance and Controller, advising on reporting best practices and leading forecasting model evolution. Support Data Operations, Product, and IT with tailored analytical solutions and automate data extraction from Jira into Power BI. Research and implement cutting-edge AI tools for advanced data visualization and predictive analytics to drive business value.
Required Qualifications
- At least 7 years of professional experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst or Specialist
- Proven, hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI
- Strong experience working with diverse and complex data sources
- Solid ability to analyze large and complex datasets, identify key insights, trends, and anomalies, and translate them into clear, actionable recommendations
- Proven capability to communicate analytical findings with executive-level clarity and influence
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- German language skills
Desired Qualifications
- ideally with strong exposure to financial data and reporting
- advanced proficiency in Excel (Power Query; Power Pivot is a plus)
- Practical experience working with Jira
- familiarity with ERP and/or CRM systems (e.g. Zoho or similar platforms)
- Proficiency in SQL for extracting, querying, validating, and manipulating data from relational databases
- A genuine interest in AI concepts, particularly as they relate to data visualization, advanced analytics, and insight generation
- Strong strategic and analytical problem-solving skills
