Job Summary

Design, build, and maintain gold-layer data models and governed metrics in Snowflake using dbt, establishing single-source-truth definitions for internal stakeholders and PBM clients. Balance time between modeling transformations in the warehouse and delivering dashboards, reports, and analytics experiences on our enterprise BI platform. Build with coding agents and AI-assisted tooling as core workflow components, independently managing development environments and accelerating model development. Optimize queries for high-volume data and resolve performance bottlenecks proactively. Push transformation logic upstream to eliminate per-dashboard logic and manual rework, ensuring numbers hold up under scrutiny. Partner with data engineering on the boundary between raw pipelines and the metrics layer.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience building business intelligence solutions — data models, metrics, dashboards, and reporting — in a data-driven organization.
  • Strong grounding in data analytics as a domain: data modeling, metric definition, and the analytical questions behind the dashboards.
  • Proven experience building data models and transformations in a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake).
  • Demonstrated breadth across BI tools (e.g., ThoughtSpot, Sigma, Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense), with the judgment to evaluate trade-offs and recognize quality design.
  • Strong SQL proficiency.
  • Fluency working in the AI era: building with coding agents, setting up development environments, and using AI tooling as a core productivity multiplier.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to translate business needs into technical deliverables.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in pharmacy benefits management, healthcare technology, or a related regulated industry.
  • Experience building a governed semantic/metrics layer or moving transformation logic out of the BI layer and into the data warehouse.
  • Familiarity with version control, CI/CD, and software-engineering practices applied to analytics.
  • Experience building demo environments or client-facing reporting.
