Job Summary
Senior Benefits Specialist with remote-first culture focus. Responsible for communicating and managing Employer Sponsored Health & Welfare benefits (Health, Dental, Vision, Life/AD&D, Disability), COBRA, Section 125, and pre-tax benefits (FSAs, HSAs, HRAs, Commuter Benefits). Configures and maintains benefit-administration systems (e.g., Employee Navigator, Ease, ADP, Rippling, Gusto, Workday, Paylocity, Paycom), reads carrier materials (SBCs, Certificates of Insurance), interfaces with clients by phone and email, and ensures data accuracy across benefits administration. Performs system setup for new clients, creates/maintains employee-facing materials, posts carrier information, and supports CRM usage to track service delivery. Emphasizes process improvements, continuous learning, and collaboration with internal teams to deliver exceptional client experiences. Travel for client-facing and internal commitments may be required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's preferred)
- Minimum typing speed of 45 WPM
- Health, Life, or Disability Insurance Producer license preferred (required within 60 days of start)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and CRM systems (Dynamics CRM)
- Ability to travel for client-facing and internal commitments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in benefits administration systems (e.g., Employee Navigator, Ease, ADP, Rippling, Gusto, Workday, Paylocity, Paycom)
- Experience reading carrier materials (SBC, Certificate of Insurance, contracts)
- Knowledge of COBRA, Section 125, and pre-tax benefits
- Data accuracy and process-improvement mindset
- Experience interfacing with clients via phone and email
- Experience using CRM to track service and client information
