Job Summary

Senior Benefits Specialist administers U.S.-based retirement programs (including 401(k) plans and pension plans) with compliance to federal/state regulations, processes enrollments and distributions, assists employees with benefits questions, collaborates with plan vendors and HRIS/IT teams, leads retirement committee activities, coordinates internal retirement plan audits, enhances data accuracy, implements plan design changes, delivers customer service, educates employees on retirement programs, and prepares utilization and metrics reports. The role is based on-site in DC five days a week with compensation and benefits outlined in the posting.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Economics, Finance or related field
  • 7 years’ experience in retirement, insurance benefits, financial planning, or actuarial services required
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS), Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA), or similar certifications are a plus
