Job Summary
Shape benefits strategy by partnering with leadership to evaluate, design, and enhance the benefits portfolio through advanced financial, utilization, and cost analysis. Lead RFP processes, vendor evaluation, and negotiation strategies while ensuring compliance with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and other regulations. Drive data-informed decision-making by interpreting actuarial analyses and translating complex findings into actionable recommendations for cost management and program innovation. Mentor junior team members and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree
- 7–10+ years of progressive experience in employee benefits
- Deep technical knowledge of health and welfare, retirement, and voluntary benefits
- Experience working within a healthcare system or large employer environment
- Experience with self-funded benefit plans and financial modeling
- Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into clear, actionable recommendations
- Strong experience with vendor evaluation, RFPs, negotiations, and relationship management
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong project management, organization, and prioritization abilities
- Ability to manage multiple complex initiatives while maintaining attention to detail
- Master's Degree
- Certified Employee Benefit Specialist - International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans
- Human Resource Professional - Society of Human Resource Management
- Senior Human Resource Professional - Society of Human Resource Management
- 3 days a week on-site
- Candidate must live in MA or CT
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree, preferred
