Senior Benefits Analyst

Job Summary
Oversee benefits transactions (enrollments, life events, terminations) processed through Workday; administer medical/dental/vision, life, disability, voluntary benefits, and wellness programs; own monthly carrier billing reconciliation and payment; build and maintain benefits reporting; validate benefits configurations with HRIS; ensure consistent benefits administration across multi-state and Bahamas populations; support open enrollment with system validation and reporting; serve as primary contact for carriers including COBRA vendors; respond to employee questions on plans, eligibility, and claims; ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, and HIPAA; audit eligibility and enrollment data for ACA reporting; oversee COBRA administration accuracy and Form 5500 data as applicable; maintain audit trails and documentation; coordinate with vendors and HR across locations; must be able to travel internationally as required; remote work permitted with East Coast hours.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or closely related field
- 3 - 5+ years of benefits administration experience
- 3 - 5+ years of hands-on experience with Workday Benefits to include reporting and vendor EDI feeds
- Proven experience with billing reconciliation, reporting, auditing, and compliance execution
- Experience supporting multi-state populations (Bahamas experience a plus)
- Strong understanding of ERISA, ACA, COBRA, and HIPAA compliance
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to develop and present benefits training materials
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or closely related field
- Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS®) preferred
- 3 - 5+ years of benefits administration experience
- 3 - 5+ years of hands-on experience with Workday Benefits including reporting and vendor EDI feeds
- Experience with billing reconciliation, reporting, auditing, and compliance execution
- Experience supporting multi-state populations (Bahamas experience a plus)
- Strong understanding of ERISA, ACA, COBRA, and HIPAA compliance
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work East Coast hours and travel internationally as needed
