Senior Benefits Administrator - hybrid

Job Summary
Lead the day-to-day administration of all employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and other voluntary plans. Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefit inquiries and the escalation point for complex issues. Manage vendor relationships with brokers and third-party administrators while overseeing annual open enrollment planning, communication, and system setup. Analyze utilization trends and costs to recommend enhancements and support budgeting and forecasting. Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and documentation while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations such as ERISA, COBRA, and HIPAA. Reconcile monthly invoices, resolve discrepancies, and manage enrollments, changes, and terminations in HRIS systems. Partner with Payroll and HRIS teams to ensure accurate deductions and reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 5–8+ years of progressive experience in benefits administration
- Strong knowledge of federal and state benefits regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience managing open enrollment
- Experience working with benefits platforms/HRIS systems
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of attention to detail and confidentiality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Must be located in Lynn, MA
- Must be available for full time M-F 8am to 4pm
- Must be available for a hybrid role
