Job Summary
Senior Behavioural Clinician role on the Oasis Child Unit in south-east Melbourne, focusing on embedding complex behavioural management into the Oasis Model of Care for children up to 12 years with neurodevelopmental disorders or complex psychiatric/behavioural presentations. Works within a multidisciplinary team to provide behavioural assessment and interventions during inpatient stays, contributes to formulation and treatment planning, leads staff education on tailored behavioural approaches, delivers individually targeted interventions and group programs, and collaborates with families, CYMHS, schools, and community providers. Involves contributing to research and evaluation projects and educating staff in evidence-based practices.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge and skills in providing evidence-based behavioural assessment, analysis, and support
- Advanced knowledge and/or experience in providing behavioural assessment and support to young people with complex mental health presentations and co-occuring neurodivergence and their family/carers
- Experience in conducting behavioural analysis, completing behaviour support plans, and providing psychoeducation around behaviour management and support
- Experience providing secondary consultation
- Experience supporting the development of skills in others
- The incumbent will have experience in a mental health service and/or extensive experience in a relevant area of practice
