Job Summary
Directs and motivates banquet teams, leads shifts, and actively participates in servicing events to ensure high-quality service and guest satisfaction. Manages banquet operations including supply provisioning, inventory control, liquor cost management, and scheduling to maximize profits. Maintains knowledge of laws related to events, enforces standards and sanitation, and liaises with kitchen staff. Develops relationships with client groups to retain business and drive growth. Oversees human resources activities such as safety training, corrective action, and staff development; conducts department meetings and participates in relevant planning and review processes. Demonstrates strong customer service, communication, and leadership skills to guide the team in delivering exceptional event experiences. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; 3 years experience in the event management, food and beverage, or related professional area.
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 1 year experience in the event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related professional area.
