Job Summary
Senior Banker at Bank of America in the Round Rock/Austin area serves as the first point of contact for financial center clients, uncovers personal banking needs for individuals and small businesses, offers appropriate solutions, educates clients on self-service and transaction options, and connects clients to specialists. Responsibilities include deepening client relationships, supporting self-service transactions, leveraging available resources to optimize the client experience, and ensuring compliance with processes, laws, and guidelines for activities such as opening accounts and account maintenance. The role requires a minimum of one year of sales experience in a client-centric environment (or prior qualifying RM/ADP/RMBOS roles), strong communication and relationship-building skills, ability to work with both in-person and phone clients, comfort with notary requirements, and flexibility to work weekends or extended hours. Desirable qualifications include an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business/finance, banking knowledge, proficiency with MS applications, and experience meeting or exceeding goals in a financial-center setting.
Required Qualifications
- Has a minimum of one year demonstrated sales experience in a relationship-oriented and client-centric environment
- Is a commissioned notary or can successfully obtain a notary commission in the state you work within a few months of start date
- Can be flexible to work weekends and/or extended hours as needed
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Is comfortable engaging all clients (in-person and by phone)
- Able to learn and adapt to new information, technology platforms, handle ambiguity and adapt to changing circumstances
- Demonstrates effective time management and the ability to organize, prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously
Desired Qualifications
- An associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field
- Retail and/or sales experience in a salary plus incentive environment
- Experience working in a financial center where goals were met or exceeded
- Experience with financial information, spreadsheets and financial skills
- Knowledge of banking products and services
- Strong computer skills including MS applications and previous experience utilizing laptop technology
