Job Summary
Design and own backend services end-to-end, building robust APIs used directly by customers and partners. Make architectural decisions that impact the platform over time while working on scalability, observability, and operational quality. Deploy code quickly to production with minimal coordination. Manage a small team of ten senior developers within a fintech company that controls its entire payment flow, handling over 150M API calls monthly. Prioritize technical ownership and autonomous work in a culture where good ideas win and decisions are made quickly.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years backend experience in production
- AWS experience (Fargate, Lambda, DynamoDB, Aurora)
- Microservices architecture
- Node.js + TypeScript
- Infrastructure as Code
- API-first approach
