Job Summary
Design, implement, and operate backend services powering the Satispay consumer experience, from payment flows and identity verification to loyalty features. Drive technical analysis for cross-team projects, lead design discussions, and produce documentation for stakeholders before build begins. Raise the quality bar across mobile and backend development through rigorous testing, safe progressive rollouts, and proactive technical debt elimination in a codebase shipping 2M+ daily payments. Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on cross-service dependencies and event-driven patterns. This individual contributor role focuses on shaping technical direction within the Consumer Growth team, utilizing a stack including PostgreSQL, Java, Spring Boot, and AWS microservices.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of related experience in back-end software engineering
- Proven track record of working with microservices
- Proven track record of working with cloud environments
- Deep experience with Java
- Deep experience with Spring Boot
- Strong understanding of distributed systems
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and convincingly
- Fluent in English
Desired Qualifications
- Hands-on experience building GenAI-driven features
- Experience with backend services using LLMs
- Experience with orchestration frameworks like LangGraph
- Experience with AWS cloud services like Amazon Bedrock
- AWS is a plus
