Job Summary
Lead the definition, design, architecture, implementation, and delivery of Slate software while coding, testing, and leading code reviews. Own end-to-end code quality, system tests, functional tests, and integration, relentlessly simplifying challenging problems through innovation and technical judgment. Collaborate with UX and product teams to build customer-first solutions, acting as an authority on technical issues to drive awareness of decision impacts and balance technical leadership with business judgment. Mentor individuals and guide team members on advanced technical issues and career growth. This role requires a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent, 6+ years of professional software development experience, and proficiency with cloud services from AWS and/or Azure. Base pay ranges from 135,000.00 to 190,000.00 USD, with additional competitive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- 6+ years of professional software development experience
- 6+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language, such as TypeScript, Python, Java, etc.
- 6+ years of experience working with cloud services from AWS and/or Azure
- 4+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
- 4+ years of experience with the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Proficient use of LLM technologies and prompt engineering development patterns
