Job Summary
Senior Python Backend Engineer at HarfangLab responsible for developing the backend of the EDR platform that stores, processes, and displays telemetry data. Lead ownership of features from design to deployment, drive architecture for scalable, on-prem systems, ensure reliability, and mentor engineers through code reviews. Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions using Python, ElasticSearch, Kafka, and Kubernetes; experience with Django or Flask and profiling tools is required. Hybrid remote work in Paris, France with a focus on building high-quality software and improving development practices.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in engineering, computer science or similar technical field
- At least 4 years experience in Python backend development
- Experience with ElasticSearch, Kafka, or Kubernetes
- Experience with Django or Flask
- Familiar with profiling tools for Python (e.g., cProfile, memprof, py-spy)
- Ability to work with AI-powered coding tools to improve efficiency and quality
Desired Qualifications
- Experience leading backend development efforts
- Mentoring engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing
- Familiarity with ElasticSearch, Kafka, or Kubernetes
- Experience with Django or Flask
- Ability to optimize performance and scalability of large data processing backends
