Job Summary
Senior Backend Full Stack Engineer responsible for backend-focused features in a Python/Django web application, collaborating with React frontend. Lead design and development of scalable backend services in containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes) across cloud (AWS/GCP) and on-prem infrastructures. Architect features such as access control, data export, enterprise integrations, and hybrid cloud/on-prem deployments; ensure secure, performant applications with monitoring and reliability practices. Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to translate user stories into robust solutions; leverage GraphQL/REST APIs, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch; participate in AI-driven tooling improvements and keep current with emerging technologies. Requires travel to the office two days per week in a hybrid setup (Fremont, CA). This role offers hybrid work options within the US and base salary in the SF Bay Area range.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years backend development
- Proficiency with Python and Django
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch
- Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Experience with React frontend
- Understanding of authentication/authorization in enterprise contexts
- Experience with REST/GraphQL APIs
- Ability to travel to office two days a week
- Nice to have: AWS/GCP, AI model integration, SQL design for complex problems
