Job Summary
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will build and optimize the core infrastructure managing RTB requests at scale, contributing to one of the largest real time big data operations. Responsibilities include developing high-performance backend services, owning end-to-end design and deployment processes, and collaborating with a skilled engineering team. The ideal candidate should have substantial programming experience in Java, a solid understanding of production systems, and strong analytical skills. Additional skills in SQL, No-SQL, and a deep understanding of web systems will enhance your impact on the projects.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years programming experience in Java or equivalent Object-Oriented language (preferably Java 8+Spring)
- Production systems understanding (system architecture of web products)
- Experience with SQL and No-SQL
- Strong analytical skills
- Willing to work intensively to gain fast results in an unknown field
- A pragmatic attitude toward decision-making (avoiding analysis paralysis)
- Passion for solving problems, and working very close to the business
Desired Qualifications
- Experience developing large scale distributed systems
- Experienced with Kafka/docker/k8s
- Deep understanding with web systems (API / REST / NGINX)
- Experience in Big Data tools (BQ / zeppelin etc)
- Knowledge in algorithms, data-mining and machine learning
