Job Summary
Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and operate large-scale domain-specific search services (news, places, securities, sports, music, movies) using OpenSearch/MongoDB Atlas. Lead architecture standardization, indexing and retrieval, improve search quality metrics (ndcg, recall, MRR, CTR), develop ranking and recommendation logic (embedding, reranker, vector search, hybrid search), and ensure production readiness with APIs, caching, config registry. Requires 7+ years backend experience, proficiency in Python/Java/Kotlin, and experience with production APIs, search/recommendation domains, and metrics-driven improvement. Opportunities in Pangyo, Gyeonggi-do with remote work possible.
Required Qualifications
