Senior Backend Engineer (Search, Ranking Service)

Job Summary
Design, develop, and operate backend systems for domain-specific collection search services covering news, sports, music, and more. Architect search infrastructure using OpenSearch and MongoDB Atlas, standardizing indexing and retrieval structures to support rapid expansion. Analyze operational logs and metrics like nDCG, recall, and CTR to improve search accuracy and reduce latency. Develop and tune ranking models, rerankers, and embedding logic to enhance top-1 to top-3 accuracy for critical collections. Build stable production environments including API contracts, caching, and admin interfaces while leading technical reviews and solving complex system issues.
Required Qualifications
- 백엔드 서비스 설계, 개발, 운영 경력 7년 이상이신 분
- Python, Java, Kotlin 중 하나 이상의 언어를 능숙하게 사용하시는 분
- production traffic을 받는 API/backend service를 설계하고 운영해 보신 분
- 검색, 추천, 랭킹, 데이터 플랫폼 중 하나 이상의 도메인에서 실제 서비스 개발 경험이 있으신 분
- 로그와 지표를 기반으로 검색/품질 문제의 원인을 분석하고 개선해 보신 분
- 초기 설계, 구조화, 표준화, 운영 안정성 개선을 주도해 보신 분
Desired Qualifications
- OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, MongoDB Atlas Search 등 검색 시스템 개발 경험
- Semantic Search, Embedding, Reranker, Vector Search, Hybrid Search(text + vector + rankFusion) 경험
- ranking model, recommendation system, personalization 개발 경험
- nDCG, MRR, recall, CTR 등 검색/추천 품질 지표 설계 및 운영 경험
- AWS, Kubernetes, Helm 기반 서비스 운영 경험
- 차량, 음성 비서, 다국어/다지역 서비스 경험
- 기술 리딩, 설계 리뷰, 주니어 멘토링 경험
