Job Summary
Build the enforcement infrastructure ensuring AI-driven communication is safe and compliant by creating proxies, SDKs, and agent tooling that connect AI agents to developer frameworks. Own the policy backend, including connectors, rule source ingestion, and the engine tracking rule changes, while designing controls that determine agent permissions. Design and operate systems meeting low latency and high reliability under enterprise load, maintaining a high bar for security and data protection when handling sensitive content. Work as an individual contributor with significant architectural ownership, collaborating with engineering peers and product stakeholders. Hybrid (3 days onsite) in the New York City area.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years building and running production backends at scale
- Strong experience in a modern backend language (Go, Python, Java, or Node)
- Solid knowledge of APIs, distributed systems, databases, queues, and caching
- Experience with cloud environments, containers, and CI/CD
- Focus on latency, reliability, and writing clean code
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with low-latency or real-time systems
- Experience building SDKs, proxies, or developer-facing infrastructure
- Experience working with sensitive or regulated data
