Senior Backend Engineer (Hybrid)

Job Summary
Develop SaaS software components for the Software Defined Network (SDN) orchestration platform and drive backend architecture. Collaborate with DevOps, system test engineering, and CPE development teams on end-to-end system integration, performance, and testing. Mentor and guide backend developers while staying current with the latest backend development trends and technologies. Utilize AI-assisted development tools to execute, review, and refine software engineering tasks. This role requires 10+ years of experience with Java, Go, Python, or Node.js, microservices design, and distributed messaging platforms like Kafka and Pulsar. Candidates must possess strong networking knowledge and database expertise including SQL, NoSQL, and Time Series DBs. Required Qualifications
- B.Sc./M.S. Computer Science, Software or equivalent
- At least 10 years of software development working experiences
- At least 10 years' experience with the major cloud languages such as Java, Go, Python, Nodejs
- Experience designing & deploying micro services systems
- Knowledge of web services, API, REST, and RPC
- Experience working with spring boot framework
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools to execute software engineering tasks, with the ability to review, validate, and refine AI-generated results
- Experience with distributed messaging and streaming platforms such as Pulsar, Kafka, MQTT
- Strong awareness of networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, and distributed networks
- Database experience, including knowledge of SQL, NoSQL and Time Series DB, and related data stores such as Postgres, Mongo, Redis, Cassandra
- Extensive experience with open-source technology, software development, and system engineering
- Experience with SOA applications and cloud-based services, preferably AWS or GCP
- Experience working with Kubernetes, Linux/UNIX, and Docker
- Proficiency in English - spoken and written
- Proven ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams of business analysts, developers, data scientists, and subject matter experts
