Job Summary
Senior Backend Engineer at CP Axtra (China) – design, develop, and maintain backend systems and APIs to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability. Collaborate with frontend teams to deliver robust APIs, integrate with legacy systems and data sources, implement tests and automation, and produce well-documented, high-quality code. Role supports remote work or being based in Hangzhou; multiple CN provinces listed as potential locations. Core stack includes Java/Node.js/JS frameworks, AWS, GraphQL, relational and NoSQL databases, and modern API design.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a backend engineer with languages/frameworks such as Java, Node.js, ExpressJS, NestJS or equivalent JS framework
- Experience with AWS
- Experience with GraphQL
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and SOLID principles
- Experience building autonomous service-oriented RESTful APIs and performance tuning large-scale apps
- Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL) such as MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, PostgreSQL
- Ability to write unit, integration, and API tests
- Nice to have: experience integrating with JS frameworks like React
