Job Summary
Senior Backend Engineer at Arlula designing and shipping systems that power satellite operations, processing large geospatial datasets, and enabling geospatial use cases across defence, climate, and commercial domains. You will maintain and extend API design and web interfaces, help plan and implement new platform features, mentor other developers, collaborate with research partners, and contribute to improving user experience and the state of the art in geospatial technologies.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years experience developing and maintaining scalable API based web applications
- Experience leading teams of professionals with a mix of experience and domain backgrounds
- Deep experience with at least one statically typed programming language
- Robust knowledge of web application design patterns and their use
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Preferred: Experience with the Go programming language
- Preferred: Familiarity with geospatial programming tools like GDAL and OGC Web APIs
