Job Summary
As a Senior Backend Developer, you will leverage the latest backend technologies to design, implement, and find solutions for the server side of the MyHeritage platform. Your role involves tackling top-level coding challenges while contributing to revamping an online platform enjoyed by millions of users worldwide. The position requires extensive experience in server-side development, particularly with NoSQL/Relational databases, AWS or cloud environments, and distributed systems. You should possess a strong understanding of object-oriented design and architectural patterns, and demonstrate self-direction, teamwork, and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- B.Sc. in computer science or software engineering
- 6+ years of experience in server-side development
- Extensive knowledge in OOD, architectural and design patterns
- Self-directed, ambitious, team player, and a strong communicator
- Experienced with: NoSQL/Relational databases
- Experience in AWS or other cloud based environment
- Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture
- Experienced with large scale environments
- Good understanding of Agile concepts
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Spark / Big Data technologies - advantage
- Experience with batch / stream processing - advantage
