Job Summary

Design and own backend services across Ruby on Rails monoliths and Go microservices, implementing features from API contracts through deployment and monitoring. Support the migration to microservices by decomposing the Rails codebase, managing dual-write patterns, and contributing to architectural decisions. Build internal tooling APIs for Game Ops, Trading, and Risk teams to handle projection management, risk dashboards, and member operations. Lead end-to-end delivery of complex features, diagnose performance bottlenecks, and optimize database queries to improve system resilience. Mentor engineers through code reviews and pairing while advocating for best practices in testing, observability, and CI/CD. Participate in on-call rotation to address production incidents and drive long-term reliability improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of professional software engineering experience
  • meaningful production time in both Ruby on Rails and Go
  • Proven track record of owning and delivering complex, multi-component features in a team environment
  • Experience working across monolith-to-microservices migrations
