Job Summary
Senior Azure Data Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and implementing large-scale data engineering solutions using Azure data services. Requires 6+ years of total experience, 5+ years in data analytics with SQL, 4+ years in cloud development and data lake work (Azure preferred), and hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, Blob Storage, Functions, Dataverse/ASA, Power Apps, and DevOps tooling. Skills include Python, Spark, Unix scripting; familiarity with Teradata, Cassandra, MongoDB, SQL Server, Snowflake; and CI/CD practices with GitHub and Terraform. Hybrid work model based in Bangalore, India. DXC Technology profile and emphasis on in-person collaboration with flexible arrangements.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years total experience in software solution development using agile, dev ops, product model including designing, developing, and implementing large-scale data engineering solutions
- 5+ years data analytics experience using SQL
- 4+ years of cloud development and data lake experience (prefer Microsoft Azure) including Azure EventHub, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Functions, ASA, Azure Databricks, Azure DevOps, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake and Azure Power Apps
- Experience with scripting: Python, Spark and Unix
- Experience with data platforms: Teradata, Cassandra, MongoDB, SQL Server, ADLS, Snowflake
- Azure Cloud Technologies: Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake, Azure Power Apps, Azure Functions & Azure Data Explorer (KQL)
- CI/CD: GitHub, Azure DevOps, Terraform
- Hybrid work model with in-person collaboration and flexibility
