Job Summary
Design and own the AWS GovCloud (US) landing zone, networking, identity, and guardrails aligned with FedRAMP High and CMMC L2 expectations. Establish infrastructure-as-code standards using Terraform or CloudFormation, secure data pipelines for industrial IoT ingestion, and implement FIPS-validated encryption with immutable logging. Own operational health through CloudWatch monitoring, cost optimization, and repeatable CI/CD workflows. Partner on M&A integration to merge acquired companies' systems into the platform. Maintain 99.9%+ availability and audit readiness for mission-critical aerospace and defense manufacturing operations.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of cloud engineering
- deep hands-on AWS experience
- Direct experience with AWS GovCloud (US)
- 2+ years in GovCloud or another accredited/regulated cloud
- Strong AWS networking skills
- Strong infrastructure-as-code skills
- CI/CD / Git-based automation
- Experience designing secure data pipelines / data lakes on AWS
- Familiarity with CMMC / NIST SP 800-171 or FedRAMP control expectations

- Manufacturing or defense-sector cloud experience
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect / DevOps / Security)
- Bachelors in a technical field
- equivalent hands-on experience
- Experience integrating acquired companies onto a common cloud platform
