Job Summary

Senior Awards Officer responsible for providing expert advisory and administrative services across complex research funding matters, supporting establishment and administration of research grants, ensuring compliance, mentoring team members, and contributing to process improvements and cross-functional projects to enhance service delivery. Base at UQ Toowong with occasional intercampus travel; role involves partnering with Faculties, researchers and professional teams to secure diverse funding and enable impactful research outcomes. Requires relevant degree qualification or equivalent experience, strong policy interpretation, and demonstrated experience in research administration and mentoring. The opportunity includes a collaborative, client-focused environment with 17% superannuation and comprehensive benefits.

Required Qualifications

  • Relevant degree qualification with subsequent experience or equivalent education and professional experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in research administration and funding management
  • Ability to interpret policy and provide advisory services on complex matters
  • Proven experience mentoring or supporting team members
  • Strong communication, organisational and analytical skills, with ability to prioritise and collaborate across stakeholders
