Job Summary

Lead the design, development, and delivery of spacecraft avionics systems for interplanetary missions from concept through flight. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create reliable, high-performance avionics that enable deep-space exploration. Define and implement robust design and verification processes, lead avionics hardware builds (PCB design, harnessing, embedded interfaces, environmental qualification), and coordinate with suppliers and stakeholders to meet schedules. Maintain design documentation, test plans, and reports while communicating technical information clearly across cross-functional teams. Preferred background includes experience in Mars missions or NASA aerospace practices; strong emphasis on autonomy, ownership, and teamwork in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
  • 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and delivering avionics or electronics for aerospace systems or similarly complex environments
  • Hands-on experience with schematic capture, PCB layout, embedded software interfaces, and system-level testing
  • Proven ability to take a design from concept through production with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment
