Job Summary
Senior AV Support Technician responsible for advanced AV setup and operation for large-scale events and meetings, troubleshooting complex AV issues, and optimizing system performance. You will mentor junior technicians, collaborate with IT and vendors, plan AV requirements for events, manage documentation and reports, and drive upgrades and preventative maintenance. Key skills include Crestron/Extron/AMX control systems, DSP, AV over IP, Dante, HDMI/SDI, and videoconferencing platforms (Zoom, Webex, Teams); CTS-I/CTS-D certifications are preferred; strong communication, leadership, and project-management abilities.
Required Qualifications
- CTS-I or CTS-D preferred
- Proficiency with AV control systems (Crestron, Extron, AMX)
- Strong knowledge of audio and video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Webex, Teams)
- Experience in designing and deploying large-scale AV systems
- Ability to troubleshoot networked AV issues and complex audio/video problems
- Mentorship and training capabilities for junior technicians
- Collaboration with IT to integrate AV with network infrastructure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Leadership abilities and project management skills
