Senior Autonomy Data Engineer

Senior Autonomy Data Engineer at Torc to design, build, and operate the data infrastructure powering our autonomy program. Own the data lake design and end-to-end ingestion pipelines that move high-bandwidth sensor logs from vehicles into cloud storage with high reliability, enabling model training and downstream analytics. Build tooling to produce curated training/evaluation datasets, implement pseudo-labeling workflows at scale, and develop data quality metrics and dashboards. Deploy data visualization tooling to support log review, QA, and autonomy debugging workflows; ensure data contracts with model training consumers; collaborate across perception, planning and embedded engineers to define dataset interfaces and improve data infrastructure scalability. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the data roadmap. Required skills include Python and SQL, cloud data infrastructure (AWS: S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift), Terraform or CloudFormation, experience with time-series/binary data, data partitioning, Parquet/ORC, and data-curation for ML training (diversity sampling, pseudo-labeling, dataset versioning). Bonus points for experience with autonomous vehicles, Foxglove or Rerun, MCAP, and related data-curation tooling.
