Job Summary
Diagnose vehicles using computerized equipment and perform complex, heavy-duty repairs while adhering to manufacturer and company standards. Explain technical diagnoses to customers and service consultants, recommend necessary services, and document all work in customer files. Execute multi-point inspections and repairs with accuracy, ensuring safety procedures are followed and concerns are reported to the supervisor. Requires ASE certifications or equivalent experience, a valid driver's license, and a State Inspector license or ability to obtain one within 30 days. Work flexible schedules including weekends, excluding Sundays, with bi-weekly pay ranging from $30 to $45 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Previous automotive technician / mechanic experience
- ASE certifications
- Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized equipment for diagnostics
- Valid Driver's license
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Possess State Inspector License or ability to obtain a State Inspector license within 30 days of hire date
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends as needed
- Must be able to stand up to eight hours per day in the shop
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and crouch regularly throughout the day
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds frequently
- Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus
