Job Summary
Diagnose vehicles according to appropriate certifications and perform complex, heavy-duty repairs outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy. Explain technical diagnoses to non-mechanical individuals, including customers and service consultants, while recommending necessary services to maintain vehicle running conditions. Ensure repairs are performed correctly and efficiently by qualified technicians, adhering to MAP guidelines and dealership standards. Maintain a consistently high level of customer satisfaction and follow all safety procedures, reporting concerns to the direct supervisor. Work flexible schedules Monday through Saturday, standing for eight hours daily and lifting up to 70 pounds frequently.
Required Qualifications
- Previous automotive technician / mechanic experience
- ASE certifications
- Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized equipment for diagnostics
- Valid Driver's license in the work State
- Ability to transfer out-of-state driver's license to work state within 30 days of hire
- Pass MVR/ background check screening
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand up to eight hours per day in the shop
- Ability to walk to gain access to various areas of the building
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel and crouch regularly throughout the day
- Full range of motion with arms and hands
- Ability to feel, handle or finger objects frequently
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds frequently
- Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus
