Job Summary
Diagnose vehicles according to appropriate certifications and perform complex, heavy-duty repairs while adhering to MAP guidelines and manufacturer standards. Execute multi-point inspections and repair orders with efficiency, explaining technical diagnoses to non-mechanical staff and customers. Recommend necessary services to maintain vehicle running conditions and document all recommendations accurately. Follow safety procedures, report concerns to supervisors, and use computerized diagnostic equipment. Work flexible Monday through Saturday schedules. ASE certifications or equivalent experience required, along with a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Previous automotive technician / mechanic experience
- ASE certifications in lieu of experience
- Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized equipment for diagnostics
- Valid Driver's license in the work State
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand up to eight hours per day in the shop
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel and crouch regularly throughout the day
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds frequently
- Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus
- Ability to work flexible schedules, Monday - Saturday
