Job Summary
Senior Automotive System Engineer to strengthen the LiDAR perception safety/ASPICE/ISO 26262 framework for an autonomous robotics company. Lead requirements engineering, safety lifecycle (HARA, TSC, safety goals, TSR), and ASPICE adoption; interface with automotive customers; develop and maintain safety work products (Safety Plan, HARA, TSC, TSR, validation reports) and drive compliance across engineering teams. Requires deep experience in automotive safety standards (ISO 26262, SOTIF), safety analyses (HARA, FMEA, FTA), and a track record of building or maturing safety processes in safety-critical systems; strong communication and leadership in a fast-paced, international environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Automotive, or Mechanical Engineering
- 10+ years of experience in system engineering or functional safety engineering within the automotive, robotics, or safety-critical systems domain
- Demonstrated knowledge of ISO 26262 and/or ISO 21448 (SOTIF) with practical experience applying these standards to real product development
- Experience in conducting safety analyses such as HARA, FMEA, or FTA
- Strong communication skills - able to articulate safety concepts clearly to both engineering teams and automotive customers
- Comfortable working in an environment where processes are being built rather than inherited, and where your decisions set the precedent
