Senior Automation Test Engineer

Job Summary
Senior Automation Test Engineer needed to build a new automation-first QA team in Cairo for a large-scale SaaS/data connector platform. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and suites; executing automated functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end tests; collaborating with developers, product managers, and QA; identifying and tracking defects; improving testing processes and automation coverage; supporting the transition from manual to fully automated testing; leveraging AI-assisted testing tools and QA technologies. Requires 5+ years in software testing, hands-on Selenium/Cypress, API testing, CI/CD, multi-type testing (UI, API, integration), Agile experience, strong communication, and English proficiency. Technologies include Postman/Rest Assured, SQL, Jira, Git, and at least one of Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript. Preferred: knowledge of AI tools, cloud exposure, and German language. Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of software testing experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Selenium and Cypress
- Experience with test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience across UI, E2E, API, component and integration testing
- Experience working in Agile environments
- English: Professional working proficiency (Mandatory)
- Jira or similar test management tools
- Git / Version Control
- Programming languages: Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript
