Job Summary
Senior Automation Software Engineer responsible for proposing software development, refining project scopes with a detailed work breakdown plan, executing development plans following IRES ISO software development procedures, and providing ongoing project and software support. The role includes regularly providing status updates, integrating hardware systems, maintaining a modern reusable codebase, collaborating with software teammates, promoting rapid, predictable, high-quality software development, and delivering bug fixes and usability enhancements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Physics
- 5-7 years of experience in high technology processes related to electronic products, or production of automation software and system development
- Familiarity with CAD tools for software and electronic hardware design
- Experience with software development lifecycle and configuration controls
- Ability to work with customers/vendors to resolve functional, quality, and performance issues
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High standard of ethics, professionalism, leadership, and competency
- ITAR compliance requires U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident Alien, or Protected Individual per 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)
